Gem and Jo Take on Mrs Brown's Boys (Movie Review)

So Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie came out this weekend and we went along for a peak! It is truly hilarious, heart-warming and it shows the strong kinship and loyalty of the Moore Street markets in Dublin's city centre.
If you're not familiar with Mrs Brown and her gang you should definitely check out the t.v. show which airs on BBC channels, however it is not really necessary if you're going to see the film, you'll find it funny either way. It full of colourful characters, some seriously foul mouthed old ladies and a Russian Mob determined to shut down the stalls of Moore Street!
Mrs Brown is played by Brendan O' Carroll, him being a man is part of the reason the show is so funny, and he also writes the scripts! Here's a picture of Mrs Brown and her whole gang!

Although reviews of the show from some critics call it "outdated" and "unfunny", millions of people across the world cry with laughter every time it airs, and it even beat the usual programmes for the prime spot this past Christmas time. Who knows whether its the foul mouth of Mrs Brown or the actual storyline, but the show continues to be a huge hit 22 years after it started.

The film is brilliant, not very suitable for younger audiences, but very, very funny and you will laugh until the very end. Don't forget to stay for the bloopers, they are hilarious! Its all revolves around Mrs Brown's granny's tax payments and a Russian mob trying to bulldoze a street market. However the rest of Mrs Brown's gang will keep you laughing with their antics to try help their mammy win her court case.
Buster, the constant troublemaker, tries to help with the use of blind ninjas and a hopeless dojo master. Grandad enlists his old army buddies to try blow up a pub, and Dermot is in his usual hilarious mascot outfits while being chased by the Garda (the police force in Ireland, for all you internationals!)
If you're looking for a good laugh this week and have a couple of them euros to spend you should definitely take a trip to your nearest cinema for this gem!  Take a look at the trailer to see for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments!

And Here's a link to the BBC website!
Until next time!
